What i like about this poem is how great it truly is. i love its deep meaning and how the connections he make remind me of history. The poet uses the poetry the same way i do, and writes like a true poet. it doesn’t just have its own meaning. it lets people make it their own meaning. That is true poetry, in my eyes.
the poem in general talks to the speaker, and lets the audience think of it in other ways, the way he explains the poem is also great. How he doesn’t just speak but explains, he doesn’t let the audience fall asleep. He keeps them into it all the way through.
the first time I listened to the poem I didn’t really understand it, but the second time and after that I realized that u didn’t have to understand it the way the poet understood it. That is why I find this poem so amazing
I guess if I had to find a true meaning in the poem is that, if you let life go by too quickly. Then there’s nothing that can change it back. So you have to live life to its greatest extent.
